Scholarship Information

The Kingwood Women’s Club has committed $24,000 this year to their annual student scholarships at Lone Star College-Kingwood.

These scholarships are available to women students studying health care programs such as nursing, dental hygiene, occupational therapy

assisting, respiratory care and other technical fields leading to an associate degree. Women students in Continuing Education technical programs of shorter duration who meet the requirements are also eligible to receive financial assistance.

 

To apply for either scholarship, women must be U.S. citizens, enrolled in a qualifying program, demonstrate financial need, be in the top of their class, provide recommendations from faculty and write a personal essay as to why they are a good candidate for the scholarship.

 

Funds for these scholarships come from the local success of Kingwood Women’s Club Marketplace held each October. All funds raised at this annual event are returned to the community via numerous 501-(c)(3 )non-profits such as Humble Assistance Ministries (HAAM), Society of St. Stephens (S.O.S.S), Mission Northeast and the Lone Star College-Kingwood scholarship program.

 

Applications for the 2026-2027 year are available now and are due on July 1, 2026 at the
